Immutable God, thank you for the many and varied experiences of life through which you teach us so much.
You teach us wonder at your gracious hand upon our souls.
You teach us discipline, in order that we may be holy.
You teach us dependence, because you take care of your own.
You teach us faith, for you work in all things for the good of those who love you.
You teach us priority, as we discover in these experiences what is most important.
You teach us the preciousness of salvation, as we discover the struggles of the kingdom and appreciate the price of the Cross.
You teach us love, keeping before us the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ and urging us to follow his way.
And for the experience of these prayers this month, Father of lights, we give you thanks, having been drawn closer to you and to one another in your Spirit. Amen.
