Eternal God, all praise is yours,
All glory, honor, power, and might!
What wisdom adorns your worthy crown!
You are love, and you are light.
So why should you take note of me,
Unworthy creature full of sin?
Why send your Son to Calvary,
Your Holy Spirit to dwell within?
Such love as this I cannot fathom,
But quickly, with great joy, accept;
In Christ you spanned the yawning chasm —
Before the Cross I, also, wept.
