Where Hatred Screams

Where hatred screams, let peace prevail,
Where strife strikes blows, let love not fail;
Let faith hold fast and pass the test,
May we in hope believe the best.

  1. Hi Randal, wow! I can’t believe it’s been so many years since I first met you on a Christian forum (can’t remember it’s name), then meeting you in person at a conference near Richmond. You and your friend (can’t remember her name either) were very compassionate toward me, and I have never forgotten that. I just joined your blog. I’ve always enjoyed reading your poetry and look forward to reading some of the posts as well. This poem about hatred should be put on the front pages of our newspapers. I’ve stopped regularly watching the news…too much hate and rage. Last I heard we humans were called to love one another, but that seems to be falling by the wayside. I do not agree with so many things happening now, but I never want to hate.

    1. Hi, Karen, it has been a while for sure. Vicki and I were talking about you just the other day. (I’ve been without internet at my mom’s, some problem with the provider.) I’m like you, don’t read much news. No TV at all. Happier that way. Stay in touch!
