Though all forget

Keep praying

O faithful God, though all forget
To pray, and faint from weary watching,
Fall prey to sin, to strange bewitching,
Toward heaven be my strivings set.

Yet all desist from hard requests,
Fatigued from asking, calling, waiting,
In lingering trials, their pleas abating,
I’ll pray — in you my striving rests.
