Everything in your hands

Heavenly Father, today I place everything in your hands, in order that you might protect me, guide me, and give me success in doing your will and in pleasing you in every word and in each action I take.

Your promises are sure. I trust you to fulfill them, as you always have for your people. I believe, O Lord.

Keep me on track today. Help my plans to reflect your priority.

More about you, less about myself

Let me talk more, O Lord, about you and those things you do and delight in, and less about myself and my desires and accomplishments.

Let me study more, O God, your ways and will, and less on how I can get ahead and taste success.

Let me meditate more, O Father, on your word and your commands, and less on my wants and needs.

Let me trust wholly, O Savior, in your promises and in your plan to save, and not at all in my strategies and tactics for providing for self.

I will not fear nor fret

Only because of your mercy are we alive, O Holy One.

Your people forget your awesome deeds and complain that their needs aren’t being met. Yet you are patient.

Be patient with me still, O Sovereign God. Teach me to wait upon you.

I trust you for every need. I will not fear nor fret. I may not know how or when, but you will provide at the right time in ways that we can never dream about. Continue reading “I will not fear nor fret”

I trust you

Your name, and all it represents, lightens my heart, O Lord, as I consider your power and goodness. I trust in you and know that the world is in your hands. You care for me, because I seek you, to do your will. Continue reading “I trust you”

Make us see with eyes of faith

Lord, make us see with eyes of faith your providence and care for your children, as you guide us in the ways of Christ.

Fix in our hearts the eternal purpose in Christ so that we may share it with others who flail about with no direction.

Deliver your people! Empower the nation that belongs to you! Care for them like a shepherd and carry them in your arms at all times! (Psa 28.9 NET).

We trust in your promise to do this. Amen.
