Protect our house this day from evil

Heavenly Father, protect our house this day from evil. Let us walk in your presence. May your hands bless our home, our marriage, our coming and going, our rising and our rest.

Help us to serve the brethren well and strengthen, and perhaps even save, relationships with you, with each other, with those outside of Christ.

Focus my mind on your goodness, on acting with knowledge, on being patient and grateful.

Strengthen me to take the steps forward that I need to take today. Help me consider the present, leaving in your hands the cares of the future.

Thank you for health, for work, for opportunity, for faith, for family, for life’s necessities, for eternity’s door in Jesus Christ my Savior.

Thank you, Lord, for setting me free
To serve in love, for righteousness;
For life and strength, for power to be,
For heavenly blessing, to share and bless.

Thank you, Lord, for wisdom’s mind,
For truthful way, for choice of path;
For light to lead the spiritually blind,
For Jesus who appeases wrath.

Thank you, Lord, for the house of faith —
Brothers and sisters in love and growth;
For cleansing blood in which to bathe,
For hope in present and future, both.

Our fellowship with you our food

Father, our fellowship with you is our food. We share in common a love this world cannot know.

We experience the life from the Source of living.

We know the Son who lives in us and walks with us until the end. We suffer with him and for him, for the sake of the Good News and the salvation of many.

We serve the needy and use our gifts for the benefit of the body of Christ.

This is our pleasure and joy and crown. We thank you for this communion.

Another Journey

We rise again, O Lord, to face
Another journey, another step,
Another day of friendly grace,
For waking joys till now asleep.

Our thanks, O God, for daily bread
And strength, for wisdom’s gentle light,
Midst trial and pain, for faithful aid
Upon the tempter’s fiery height.

My Savior, show me open doors
For Jesus Christ — let me not fear
To bravely leave the safer shores,
But dare, beyond horizons, steer.

Thank you for opportunities

Thank you, Father, for so many opportunities to learn, grow, serve, and love. Instead of being discouraged by so many needs out there, let me be encouraged and motivated that you open so many doors.

My heart overflows with gratitude, O Lord, who gives life, that you preserve us and make life so interesting and beautiful.
