By using the phrase “perfect Bible” in the title, we do not mean the perfect version or translation. The Bible as the word of God is perfect. Holy Scripture is perfect because it gives us the following:
- Life, Psa 19.7. “The law of the Lord is perfect and preserves one’s life. The rules set down by the Lord are reliable and impart wisdom to the inexperienced.
- Pleasure, Psa 119.92, 96. “If Your instruction had not been my delight, I would have died in my affliction. … I have seen a limit to all perfection, but Your command [God’s word] is without limit” (HCSB).
- Liberty, Jas 1.25. “But the one who peers into the perfect law of liberty and fixes his attention there, and does not become a forgetful listener but one who lives it out—he will be blessed in what he does.”
- Preparation, 2 Tim 3.16-17. “Every scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the person dedicated to God may be capable and equipped for every good work.”
