Washed and Welcomed

None on earth has seen your face and lived,
Your fiery glory beyond the likes of man.
Before your throne of light we can’t endure,
We fall, trembling, to the ground in fear.

Angels fly and sing and call to worship,
Demons cry below in abject terror.

Save us, Lord! Long we cannot be here,
We sinners, all, unclean, unworthy, impure!
Let many be washed and welcomed! Remove our sin!
Of your presence let no one be deprived.
