Your name, and all it represents, lightens my heart, O Lord, as I consider your power and goodness. I trust in you and know that the world is in your hands. You care for me, because I seek you, to do your will.
I confess my ignorance of your workings behind the scenes. I know toward what goal you work and I know that you do work in this world. I know you intend all things for our eternal benefit. But we humans are blind to your hand, until it makes itself manifest among us and we see the wonderful results you bring forth.
So I trust you and gladly place my concerns, my desires, my loved ones, and my needs upon you. I rest and find peace in this surrender. And I praise you for your wisdom that blesses time and time again.
