Lord, just as we often get medical check-ups, with a battery of exams, a doctor’s evaluation, and treatment or medications afterwards to address problems that show up, let us be as serious in our spiritual assessments.
Let us examine our hearts deeply, through the lens of Scripture.
Let us recognize and confess our wrongs.
Let us put ourselves in your hands for healing.
Let us find strength in the midst of your congregation.
Let us never be content spiritually with where we are, or with our present level of growth and service.
Let us press on in holiness and purity and joy in your glorious presence.
