Let us not wish for things of the past or that things were different than they are now, O Lord, but let us make ourselves, by the power of your Spirit, into the people that we ought to be.
Change our hearts, so that our lives may not only improve for ourselves and bless others, but give you glory as people see you work in us.
Let us not live in a fantasy world in an attempt to escape the one we live in, but to put our hope in eternal life, where all will be made new.
Let us be content with where we are, with what we have, with the time and opportunity we’ve been given, with the gifts at our disposal, so that we may take best advantage of this moment.
We rejoice, O God, to be in Christ and out of this world.
