Father, for those lonely people who feel most alone during holidays, bless them with companionship and friendship, especially through the family of Christ.
Many people feel lonely even in the midst of a group, Lord, because they fail to make connections with others. Help such as these to find ways to be open, to risk building relationships, to see that being closed to others is not a solution, but part of the problem.
Help us all, heavenly Father, to work hard at love.
