I do not pray this for you

I do not pray that God will remove all your troubles, but that you will find in them motive for growth and thanksgiving for his goodness.

I do not pray that you will have an easy way of it, but that you will be given strength for each step and learn dependence upon the Almighty.

I do not pray that you will be saved from the sorrows of this world, but that you will find comfort in the arms of the Heavenly Father.

I do not pray that you will find riches in your work, but that you will depend upon the great Provider who gives us our daily bread.

I do not pray that your relationships will be free of conflict, but that you will be humble enough to ask forgiveness, value others as God’s beloved creatures, and listen to their opinions.

I do not pray that you will experience great emotions in this life, but that God will cause you to be selfless, thoughtful, purposeful, and have the heart of a servant.

I do not pray that you will set great goals that allow for success, but that you will have the one objective of life to seek after the Lord with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind.
