How little, O Lord, are we inconvenienced for the gospel’s sake, next to the suffering that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ endured for our salvation!
How small our efforts are, which we feel make us tired and discouraged, next to the dedication and longsuffering of the Master as he attempted to teach multitudes and followers!
How unimportant are our contributions in your Kingdom, O God, next to your eternal plan being carried out for our redemption since the first sin removed man from your holy presence!
How limited are our opportunities and how short is our time, next to ages and ages that witness your moving hand among the millions of mankind!
And yet.
You have placed our words and actions in the center of your plan, our hands as instruments of your goodness, our lives as examples of the beautiful truth of reconciliation!
For this we are humbled, heavenly Father, and give thanks, and ask that your will might be fulfilled in us.
