Fade all desire for pleasure of sin —
Oh! Wash me clean, the heart within,
Dear God, come near, for I repent
Of shameful deeds, with deep lament.
Remove from me the stubborn will,
In me the drive to please instill,
Create in me, my Lord, the aim
To glorify Christ Jesus’ Name.
Good Father, shake the world with news:
Redemption now can all men choose;
May I convert the wayward soul,
And bring that one to your control.
