Let me look, O Lord, upon your strength and not how I am weak. Wash over me with the power of your Spirit which raised Jesus Christ from the dead and won against the power of sin.
Let me not be discouraged at my frailty, but encouraged by your bracing power, by your constant presence, by your mercy which produces joy.
Keep time and age, keep sickness and trials from dragging me down, but let the promise of life, and the hope of eternity, buoy up my spirit, until that day when Jesus comes.
