Let change for good, O God, begin with me!
To me give words of power to save and build.
By your delight a different man I’d be:
May I with your desire to bless be filled.
Wherever people hurt and times are tough,
Put me to move and point to a better way.
When others think that they’ve endured enough,
Teach me the hour to act and words to say.
But start with me, O God, that I might change,
Abandon selfish thoughts to meet a need.
Let me be first in love, and never strange;
In Jesus’ humble service let me lead.
