Save us, God of power and grace,
From sin, injustice, greed, and graft,
From tolerance, lack of zeal, and pride,
From hardness of heart and loveless practice.
From doctrine severed from love of souls,
We plead you save us, Lord, from such;
Desire of the eyes and pleasure of flesh,
Like Joseph of old from these let us flee.
Remove our anger, selfishness, strife,
We want to walk the narrow and straight;
Break down the bitter idols of heart,
Make room for Christ as ruling Head.
